Zonal Recordings proudly present the next chapter in the ever-evolving sound of Markee Ledge, as he returns with the Soul EP on November 28th, 2025.
This new work reunites him with his long-time collaborative partner Megatron MC-a vital thread of continuity from his earlier Mind EP through to his full-length album due 2026.
Having rewritten the rulebook on what modern Roots Jungle should sound like, Markee Ledge presses on with his mission to drive the genre forward-fusing minimal rhythms with emotional charge and socially conscious lyrics.
The Soul EP is the latest in a line of well-received releases that also includes Peace, Love & Unity, Reality, and the ongoing Mind, Body & Soul trilogy. Markee Ledge has carved out a signature sound rooted in Jungle heritage but honed with modern production values. This new EP further builds upon that mission, interlacing deep basslines, warm atmospheres, and intricate drum programming into a cohesive sonic journey that harnesses both the raw edge and spiritual backbone of the genre.
Joining him once again in the mix with formidable power and intention on this project is Megatron MC, original Ruffneck Ting representative. He amplifies the levels of lyrical sharpness in Markee Ledge’s detailed production, bringing unity, identity, and inner strength.
This chemistry has become one of the most compelling partnerships in modern Drum & Bass. The Soul EaP stands as another example of how well they can balance old-school authenticity with forward-thinking artistry. The EP also includes two reworks, produced specifically for the EP, with the express purpose of expanding on the story and setting the scene for the eventual full-length album in which Decoder’s reinterpretations will also find a home.
Within the unfolding fable that is Mind, Body & Soul, Soul EP is more about that pivot point in time-a respectful nod to the core of Jungle culture while embracing evolution, consciousness, and creativity.
Rather than being any kind of addition to the Markee Ledge discography, this EP is more a statement of intent and a reinforcement of his position as a leading innovator within the ongoing revival and reinvention of Roots Jungle music.
