Solomun’s Secret Weapon Unveiled: Buka Drops Explosive “Hot 2 Deff” on Diynamic

Buka fires up the global dance scene with “Hot 2 Deff”, already dubbed Solomun’s secret weapon and easily one of the most sought-after IDs of 2025.

Coming out on Solomun’s Diynamic label on 21st November, this release drops with a powerful B-side, “One Touch”, completing a package made for big stages and peak-time moments.

For months, clubbers across Ibiza and well beyond scrambled to identify the explosive track that Solomun kept dropping at Pacha. Camelphat, too, fanned the mystery with their hammering of the tune in their sets. Every major DJ had it—but no one knew the name. That mysterious anthem is now revealed: Buka’s “Hot 2 Deff.”

Built on a punchy, skittering drum groove that floats between hip hop swagger and massive house energy, the track immediately commands the floor. And then comes its signature hook: dark, gritty, and unapologetically bold; followed by Joyo Velarde’s iconic lines:

“Get up, get down, get on the floor / C’mon, ain’t that what y’all came here for?

Get off the wall, on the count of four / C’mon un, deux, trois…”

The sample is taken from Lyrics Born’s 2008 underground hip-hop masterpiece “Hott 2 Deff.” Inspiration struck like lightning, Buka recalls: he heard the original playing in a vintage shop in Berlin, Shazamed it on the spot, and had an early version of “Hot 2 Deff” laid out before the day was done. From there, the vision was clear: an explosive, festival-sized production that would let the vocal shine.

Buka is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting new forces in electronic music-a former prodigy who started DJing at 13, now blending classic soulfulness with modern club energy. His productions are characterized by their emotional depth, addictive grooves, and a musical polish that is at home across genres.

The B-side, “One Touch,” certainly holds its own. Energetic, uplifting, and driven by emotive piano breaks, it carries the expansive feeling of a hands-in-the-air moment built for sunrise sets and massive festival crowds. “This track was made for fat and powerful sound, emotional intensity, and one unforgettable moment,” says Buka.

Finally, with “Hot 2 Deff” released, that once mysterious anthem which shook Ibiza, festival tents, and club rooms across the face of the earth now resides in the hands of the fans. Solomun’s secret weapon is a secret no more; it’s here and ready to be rinsed.
