Jennifer Lopez is keeping it real about her love life – past and present.
The singer and actress opened up during her first-ever appearance on The Howard Stern Show on October 15, and let’s just say she didn’t hold back. Reflecting on her high-profile romances, Lopez quipped that she rarely looks back once a relationship ends.
“Once I’m done, you’re dead to me,” the 56-year-old joked, laughing before adding, “I’m going to get in trouble!”
Lopez, who’s been famously private about certain aspects of her relationships, admitted that this was one reason she had avoided sitting down with Stern until now. “This is why I never wanted to come on here,” she teased. “I’ll get in trouble.”
Still, that didn’t stop her from reflecting on her romantic past, which includes ex-husbands Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and Marc Anthony – with whom she shares 17-year-old twins Emme and Max — as well as former fiancé Alex Rodriguez and ex-husband Ben Affleck.
Clarifying her comments, Lopez explained, “I don’t hold on, to be honest. Not dead to me, but definitely, it’s over. I’m going to move on.”
The Jenny From the Block hitmaker added that navigating love under the spotlight has always been complicated. “I live my life very out loud,” she said. “Even though I’m in the public eye, I wanted to share my life with someone. I want someone to be there to share my big important moments on the red carpet.”
Though Jennifer and Ben Affleck officially ended their marriage in 2024, the two recently shared a warm reunion. The former couple appeared together at the October 6 New York City screening of her new film Kiss of the Spider Woman – which Affleck produced.
And despite their split, there’s clearly no bad blood between them. Speaking to E! News at the event, Affleck, 53, gushed about Lopez’s talent and dedication to her craft.
“Jennifer is incredible in this movie,” he said. “She’s fabulous. It’s an enormously difficult performance – singing, dancing, acting, and maintaining multiple tones. That’s probably the maximum level of difficulty for any performer.”
Affleck continued, “She pulls it off with grace and aplomb. She’s amazing, spectacular, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”
Lopez also returned the compliment in a separate interview with Craig Melvin on Today, crediting Affleck for helping bring the project to life. “If it wasn’t for Ben, the movie wouldn’t have gotten made,” she said. “And I will always give him that credit.”
Lopez’s comments have since gone viral, with fans both amused and intrigued by her “dead to me” remark. Many praised her honesty and ability to stay amicable with exes while keeping strong boundaries.
As the Hustlers star continues promoting Kiss of the Spider Woman, it’s clear that Lopez is focusing on her work and personal growth – not her past. Whether joking about former flames or expressing gratitude for their support, J.Lo proves she knows exactly how to balance humor, confidence, and heart.
