‘Twisted Christian’: South Park’s Latest Episode Is Its Most Outrageous Since Naked Trump

South Park has never been a show to play it safe, and its latest episode proves the animated satire is back in full, unapologetic swing.

After a shorter-than-usual break between seasons, the long-running series returns with Twisted Christian, the explosive Season 28 premiere that is already being hailed as one of its most explicit and outrageous episodes since the infamous naked Trump scene.

Despite its unpredictable release schedule, South Park rarely fails to shock, and this episode delivers on every level. Set once again in the chaotic town of South Park, the episode opens at the elementary school where PC Principal, now known as Power Christian Principal after his politically motivated conversion last season, tries to suppress the students’ obsession with a viral TikTok trend called the “6-7” meme. His reason isn’t the usual disruption or noise complaints, but something much more absurd: he believes the meme hides “satanic numerology.”

In his quest to uncover the supposed evil behind the numbers, PC Principal skips the obvious help of the school’s new counselor, Jesus Christ, and instead consults billionaire Peter Thiel, the show’s version of the tech mogul portrayed as a ghastly, skeletal caricature. Thiel, in a typically wild South Park twist, reveals a biblical backstory about Satan’s punishment: his butthole was shrunk to a pinhole so he could never have a “butt baby,” until the arrival of Donald Trump, whose “teeny-teeny-tiny” anatomy could supposedly fit. According to Thiel, Revelation 6:7 foretells it all.

While that setup might seem like the punchline, the episode spirals further into madness. JD Vance, Trump’s political ally, emerges as a shadowy manipulator, using Thiel’s influence to gain unlimited access to government data and prevent the “unholy birth.” Meanwhile, Trump himself, though not the main focus, appears in a few scenes that lean heavily into explicit humor, with the writers clearly aiming to outdo their own previous levels of shock value.

Back in South Park, Jesus faces a crisis of faith after realizing that his modern-day Christian followers, led by PC Principal and other MAGA-inspired characters, use religion as a means of control and bullying. “You need a way to bully people and you’re using the Bible to do it,” Jesus declares in one of the episode’s standout lines. Simultaneously, Eric Cartman’s obsession with the “6-7” meme escalates into full-blown demonic possession, complete with projectile vomiting straight out of The Exorcist.

As chaos unfolds, it becomes clear that Cartman might hold the key to preventing the apocalypse. By the end, Jesus succumbs to peer pressure and embraces a “Christian bro” lifestyle, while Cartman embarks on a journey to Washington, D.C., setting the stage for an inevitable showdown with Trump.

Even though Twisted Christian picks up directly from last season’s finale, it feels every bit like a bold new beginning. Trey Parker and Matt Stone set the tone for what promises to be one of South Park’s most provocative arcs yet, balancing the series’ signature mix of crude humor, biting political satire, and shocking imagery.

If past multi-episode sagas like Imaginationland and Bigger, Longer & Uncut are any indication, Season 28 could become another high point in South Park’s long history of fearless, unfiltered storytelling. Twisted Christian is more than just outrageous, it’s South Park at its most self-aware, unrelenting, and hilariously blasphemous.
