Euphoria Casts Danielle Deadwyler, Natasha Lyonne, Eli Roth for Season 3

HBO’s Euphoria is back after a long break, and finally, the show is prepping for its highly anticipated third season – and the list of cast members just grew even larger.

The Emmy-winning series will return in spring 2026, four years after its previous season premiered.

The new season includes some big-name additions, including Danielle Deadwyler, Natasha Lyonne, and Eli Roth, alongside the returning cast of Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, and Colman Domingo. HBO confirmed that the series, which started filming in Los Angeles earlier this year, will have eight episodes and is set to leave audiences in a completely new place.

Season 3 will feature a major time jump, moving the characters past high school into adulthood, according to reports. This is a natural progression for the show, which has long been defined by its candid exploration of youth, addiction, trauma, and identity. The last season wrapped up Zendaya’s character Rue starting her journey to sobriety but left many loose ends lying around, which had fans clamoring for closure.

The most obvious cast change is the loss of Storm Reid, who announced she will not be reprising her role as Rue’s sister, Gia, in the new season. Another change due to a real-life tragedy is the sad death of Angus Cloud, the actor who played fan favorite Fezco, whose cliffhanger death at the end of Season 2 creates a huge gap in the series.

Joining Deadwyler, Lyonne, and Roth, the newly confirmed cast includes a blend of award-winning legends and newcomers on the rise. Danielle Deadwyler, who has won praise for her work in Till and The Piano Lesson, adds weight to the series, while Natasha Lyonne, who is perhaps best recognized from Orange is the New Black and Poker Face, provides her own trademark wit. Horror film director and actor Eli Roth, whose fame includes the Hostel franchise, is also part of the cast, promising exciting new dynamics to come.

Other newcomers are Colleen Camp (American Hustle), Kwame Patterson (The Wire), Madison Thompson (Ozark), Sam Trammell (True Blood), Rebecca Pidgeon (The Unit), and Matthew Willig, who formerly played in the NFL before becoming an actor. Newer arrivals such as Cailyn Rice (1923), Bella Podaras (Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love), Gideon Adlon (The Society), and Jessica Blair Herman (American Crime Story) will enter the fray as well.

Completing the augmented cast are Bill Bodner, Jack Topalian (General Hospital), Hemky Madera (Kaleidoscope, Spider-Man: Homecoming), and Homer Gere, the actor son of Richard Gere.

Other previously announced cast additions include Sharon Stone and international pop star Rosalía, along with Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Marshawn Lynch, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Anna Van Patten, and Asante Blackk.

Behind the scenes, Euphoria showrunner Sam Levinson is back in charge after stepping aside to focus on other ventures, including The Idol. His return guarantees the series continues its identity of stylized cinematography, cringe-worthy storytelling, and emotionally real performances.

Though plot points are kept secret, casting such a broad ensemble suggests that the scope of the show is expanding for Season 3. Expect to see more adult themes explored in Euphoria Season 3 as Rue and her friends move into adulthood, weighing aspiration, self-discovery, and reckoning in a world defined by the their youths.

As hype continues to build, Euphoria keeps building its legacy as HBO’s most visually ambitious and culturally relevant drama. With its incredible cast and time-jump surprise, season three is set to push the boundaries of the show all over again.

Euphoria Season 3 debuts spring 2026 on HBO and Max.
