Pittsburgh Natives Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O’Connor Announce Engagement After Two Years of Dating

Hollywood actor Joe Manganiello and actress Caitlin O’Connor are officially engaged.

The two Pittsburgh-area natives shared the happy news on Instagram on Friday, delighting fans with a sweet photo that included their beloved Chihuahua, Bubbles.

Both Manganiello and O’Connor, who hail from Mt. Lebanon and Uniontown respectively, posted the same image to their Instagram accounts. The caption simply read, “June 24th, 2025,” accompanied by a pair of ring emojis – hinting at a possible wedding date. In the photo, Bubbles, a fixture in many of Manganiello’s public appearances, was seen nestled comfortably in his arms.

The couple’s engagement announcement comes as both stars have been spending more time in their hometown area recently. Manganiello was recently spotted at the Steelers Style fashion show, once again with Bubbles in tow, who sported a Terrible Towel wrapped around her. The actor also attended the gala celebrating the opening of Pittsburgh International Airport’s new terminal, where he and O’Connor posed for photos with Jeff Goldblum and Cam Heyward.

Their Pittsburgh pride doesn’t stop there. Earlier this year, the couple flew to Ireland to cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers as they defeated the Minnesota Vikings 24–21 in Dublin.

Caitlin O’Connor, who has always been open about her western Pennsylvania roots, appeared on KDKA-TV in September during a visit to Uniontown High School, where she spoke fondly about returning home with Manganiello. During her interview, she shared a funny story about their road trip to see what would become Ozzy Osbourne’s final live show, calling it “a wild adventure.”

O’Connor also laughed as she backed up Manganiello’s viral claim about Fiori’s Pizza being the best around. “We love coming back home. He’s from Mt. Lebanon, I’m from Uniontown, so we come back for pizza – Fiori’s pizza. We have to fly in for pizza,” she said.

The couple first sparked romance rumors in 2023, shortly after Manganiello’s split from Sofía Vergara, his wife of seven years. While they initially kept their relationship low-key, they gradually began appearing together more publicly, from red carpet events to local Pittsburgh outings.
