Longtime Hip-Hop Rivals Cardi B and Nicki Minaj Clash Again on Twitter

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s beef is back in the news as the two rap queens reignited their longstanding feud on social media this week.

The beef heated up after Nicki Minaj supposedly ridiculed the sales of Cardi B’s new album Am I the Drama? which landed on September 19. It was reported by Complex and E!

News that Minaj shared a string of now-deleted posts on X where she reportedly accused Cardi of padding her album’s sales figures. The situation soon deteriorated with Cardi B’s comeback remarks. In a quick-witted reply, she wrote: “Nothing more annoying than a bored [expletive]” and continued, “You must’ve missed me, huh crazy??

Now kiss my feet.” In subsequent posts, Cardi lamented the fact that Minaj continued attacking her music, declaring: “You been in the game like 16 years… you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time.” She continued to mention artists such as Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Drake, asserting those were the ones Minaj needed to be comparing herself to, not her.

This encounter is the newest installment in their extensive and storied history. The rivalry between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B began in 2018, when they clashed at New York Fashion Week. During that event, Cardi B was spotted charging at Minaj during a party before being removed by security. The startling confrontation made international headlines and solidified their rivalry as the most notorious in music history. Flash forward to 2025, and the soap opera is taking shape with fresh diss tracks. As per screenshots posted by Complex, Minaj teased Cardi B in a batch of X posts that dissed not just her sales but also her public persona. The timing of this conflict is especially intriguing as Cardi B is now pregnant with her fourth child with beau Stefon Diggs. She already has three children, Kulture, 8, Wave, 3, and Blossom, who is a year old, with her former Offset. Even though her life is under constant scrutiny, Cardi has remained steadfast in her defiance of Minaj’s jabs, claiming she is not bothered by the never-ending drama. The Cardi B beef is not the first high-profile beef Nicki Minaj has been involved in lately. Just earlier this year, she was embroiled in a public feud with Grammy Award-winning singer SZA. On July 15, Minaj denigrated SZA’s music and called her insecure for dropping LANA, a deluxe addition to her chart-topping album SOS. Minaj also blamed SZA’s camp for bullying her on the low. SZA, though, fired back with receipts of her own, revealing supposed text proof that Minaj had once asked for features that were met with silence. She fired back, cool but icy: “Nicki.
