Francis Mercier Brings Back ‘Elegibo’ With Margareth Menezes

Global house sensation Francis Mercier returns with another milestone release, this time giving new life to the world classic “Elegibo”.

Released September 12 on Insomniac Records, the track brings together Grammy-nominated Brazilian legend Margareth Menezes, Italy’s Relight Orchestra, and producer DJ Andrea for a new interpretation that transcends cultures and generations on today’s global dancefloors.

A chart-topping hit in its original form, which reached #1 on the Billboard Music World chart, “Elegibo” has been a long-time favorite for its catchy chants and unstoppable energy. Mercier’s 2025 take honors that legacy while adding his own afro house sensibilities, overlaying Menezes’ soulful Portuguese topline over tribal percussion, hypnotic piano progressions, and shimmering synth textures.

Dates include the U.S., Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, India, France, and the Netherlands, in addition to his ongoing Solèy residency at Club Chinois in Ibiza.
