Krispy Kreme launches Fall Fair Collection
Fall is officially upon us, and Krispy Kreme is welcoming the season with a new doughnut lineup that brings the essence of the fairground to your very own local store. On Monday, Sept. 15, the doughnut titan proclaimed the arrival of its Fall Fair Collection, including four innovative flavors reminiscent of the traditional flavors and aromas of seasonal fairs.
The limited-release collection goes on sale beginning Sept. 15 at participating Krispy Kreme shops across the country. The new doughnuts may be purchased individually or by the dozen in-store as well as through pickup or delivery on the Krispy Kreme app and website.
What are the flavors in Krispy Kreme’s Fall Fair Collection?
The Fall Fair Collection is created to evoke the happy nostalgia of carnival fare. The following four flavors are included:
Cotton Candy Doughnut: A classic Glazed doughnut glazed in bright blue frosting, sprinkled with cotton candy-flavored sugar, and finished with a strawberry-flavored swirl and a puffy cotton candy buttercreme topping.
Kreme Puff Doughnut: An unglazed ring-shaped doughnut filled with creamy Kreme, powdered-coated, and topped with an upbeat Doughnut Dot.
Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Doughnut: A shell doughnut filled with apple cinnamon filling, caramel icing dipped, cinnamon cookie crumb sprinkled, and topped with white icing drizzle.
Caramel Churro Doughnut: A cinnamon sugar doughnut topped with caramel icing for the ultimate crunchy-sweet fairground taste.
Where to try Krispy Kreme’s fall doughnuts
The Fall Fair Collection will be sold for a finite period only. Shoppers can order at-store or take advantage of delivery and pick-up through Krispy Kreme’s official website and mobile app.
Krispy Kreme and McDonald’s go their separate ways
The introduction of Fall Fair Collection comes on the heels of Krispy Kreme’s recent business realignment. The company terminated its relationship with McDonald’s earlier this summer, following an initial test period with three of the chain’s most popular doughnuts – Original Glazed, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, and Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled – at 2,400 McDonald’s locations.
The partnership concluded on July 2, with both firms blaming underperformance of the trial. In the future, Krispy Kreme is concentrating on strengthening its own store footprint, while McDonald’s is doubling up on its breakfast business.
With fall flavors and fair-inspired fun, Krispy Kreme enthusiasts now have new reasons to visit stores for a seasonal sugar rush.
