The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a voluntary recall of select Tru Fru freeze-dried chocolate snacks due to the potential presence of metal fragments.
The recall was initiated after Georgia Nut Company, a third-party manufacturer for Tru Fru, was alerted by a customer about the issue. Tru Fru, LLC has since pulled the affected products from shelves across the country.
The products were distributed nationwide at major retailers, including Albertsons, CVS, Food Lion, H-E-B, Hungryroot, Ingles Markets, Kroger, Stew Leonard’s, and Target.
