‘It Ends With Us’ Co-Star Challenges Blake Lively’s Allegations of On-Set Misconduct

The Blake Lively’s lawsuit regarding “It Ends With Us lawsuit” just got more complicated. Actor Adam Mondschein, who played the OB-GYN in the film’s controversial birth scene, says he was surprised by Lively’s claims and that his experience on set was nothing like what she described in her lawsuit.

In a statement shared via Page Six and People, Mondschein said, “My experience working with her is very different than the one she described in her lawsuit. Indeed, I was surprised to read her description of the scene.” He also emphasized that the environment seemed “entirely professional,” and at no point did he witness Lively express discomfort.

Lively’s lawsuit paints a different picture. Filed in February 2025, the complaint alleges the birth scene was “chaotic, crowded, and utterly lacking in standard industry protections for filming nude scenes.” She claims she was left partially nude, with only minimal coverage and no proper shielding between takes, despite repeated requests.

What added to Lively’s discomfort, according to the complaint, was that the OB-GYN role was played by what she called Baldoni’s “best friend.” She found it “invasive and humiliating” that someone with a personal connection to the director would be acting in such an intimate scene.

Mondschein, however, pushed back hard on that accusation. “Ms. Lively’s insinuations regarding my qualifications are offensive,” he said. “My bonafides are easily searchable online.” He also confirmed that Lively wore a full hospital gown, black shorts, and a pregnancy prosthetic – matching details in Justin Baldoni’s amended complaint filed earlier this year.

Baldoni, who directed and co-stars in “It Ends With Us”, denies Blake Lively’s version of events entirely. He argues that the set was closed to non-essential crew, footage proves the shoot was handled properly, and that her claims are “dishonest.”

The case heads to trial in March 2026. In the meantime, Mondschein says he’s willing to testify: “If I’m called to testify, I will answer truthfully and more freely whatever is asked of me.”
